Destiny 2 - Into The Light
I’d have to say the ‘Into The Light’ update was a fun little diversion from the usual Destiny 2 content. I wish Onslaught was staying in the game after Final Shape launches. Chasing the “god rolls” of the Brave weapons was fun while it lasted, I just wish I had gotten all the ones I wanted.
These were the first 6 weapons that were available when the ‘Into The Light’ update launched along with their respective “god rolls”. The rest of the weapons that arrived in subsequent weeks are as follows:
I’m not terribly worried that I didn’t get the “god rolls” for some of them since I got the default “shiny” version from simply doing the quests provided each week. I would have loved to get the “shiny god roll” of Hammerhead and Blast Furnace but I’ll take the ones I got and be happy.
As for the rest of the ‘Into The Light’ update, I found the “Where’s Archie?” quests to be fun little romps around the game looking for his little green paw prints that lead to where he was that week, except for the Dreaming City one where he had been in a very well hidden and long forgot about cave. Pantheon was interesting but I only bothered to do the first level of that and the Oryx fight of the second level. Beyond that I had zero interest in doing more since the rewards (some very nice emblems and some mediocre Adept weapons) didn’t do much for me. Hope those that got the ‘Godslayer’ title enjoy the fruits of their labor. As for the Hall of Champions, it was nice to see where the tower hides Eva and all its event decorations when they’re not in use. I just wish there had been Vault access, a postmaster, and a not so strict time limit in place to make the space more enjoyable. I’m looking forward to the end of this madness in about 48 hours.
